Seed Yoga

The seeds that are watered frequently are those that will grow strong.” ― Thich Nhat Hanh

A seed is the foundation, the start of something new. Yoga is a practice that strengthens the body and mind.  Seed Yoga is a studio where you can develop your yoga practice, so it can grow, and you can bloom into your best self. Come plant your seeds of practice with care, water it with intention, and cultivate the blossoms of your fullest potential.

Our studio is a quiet and peaceful space to learn and practice the many aspects of yoga, mindfulness and self-care. To slow down, breathe, connect and heal.

Seed Yoga operates out of a home-based studio located in the heart of Lake Charles, Louisiana. With an emphasis on personal connections, they offer small group classes and private sessions for individuals or  groups.  They specialize in Yin & Restorative yoga as well as Yoga Nidra.   Our small class sizes allow for personal attention and deep care providing support that is gentle and inclusive for all. The studio also offers massage and a diverse range of creative workshops.

From an early age, Stuart developed a love of learning and sharing knowledge. He has spent nearly 15 years in the public-school sector. This type of sharing of himself with younger generations has presented daily opportunities for growth as an educator. Once he allowed yoga into his life, it quickly became an integral part of his existence, inseparable and aligned with all other life goals. He was certified as an instructor of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga in 2017, and expanded his teaching to include Yin, Slow Flow and other Vinyasa style classes. Yin became his favorite style to practice and teach, appropriately fitting his laid back and calm demeanor.

Christina is a homegrown yoga teacher with strong roots in education. She started her adventure serving students in local elementary schools for 10 years. Her love for lifelong learning led her to pursue her yoga teacher training right here in her hometown. Christina completed her 200-hour course work in August of 2016. Christina has been teaching yoga in Lake Charles for five years and has taken the same playfulness she used to teach in her 3rd Grade math class onto her mat. Yoga is such an important part of everyday life. It brings healing to the mind, body, and spirit. Her yogic journey has helped her to thrive in her daily life both on and off the mat through increased mindfulness and awareness of each precious breath.

“Yoga gives us an opportunity to notice the rebirth that is constantly happening each second in our lives and in our bodies and it transforms our lives by bringing balance, wholeness, and love into the equation.” She is excited to share this love with the world. Seed Yoga is a place where you can come nurture your yogic roots and grow a strong foundation.
